My fiance and I are attending a halloween party Friday night and everyone is doing matching themed outfits. I want to go as Dorothy and I got my whole outfit for $20! However, he doesn't want to spend a lot of money on his so what are some home made ideas we can do for a character from the Wizard of Oz?
Your husband could use some actual shirt and jeans and put hay on the tops and bottoms of it (but not in the middle, stuff the middle with something soft) and then use a farmer hat for the top!

Have him be the scarecrow – wear an flannel "farmer" shirt and beat up jeans (or overalls) with work boots. Mess up his hair and there you go.

Scarecrow. He can just wear a flannel shirt, jeans and paint his face like the scarecrow. He can also stick some hay in his shirt collar and sleeves

the sacrecrow would be the easiest. Maybe a cloth bag for a mask, flannel shirt and a straw hat.

Designing a scarecrow costume doesn’t need much except for some straw, a floppy old hat, overalls or old denim jeans, & a flannel shirt.

The Lion on the Wizard of Oz is really cheap to find. At party america they have one for cheap I think it’s like 25.99 and all you need is face paint! good luck.
