Scarecrow Costume

I need them for my son's Scarecrow Costume and dread running all around town. Have you noticed any suspenders out there recently? Thanks!

I don't see any through the on-line catalogs I'd call first and start with Wal-Mart, KMart, Target, JCPenny, Mervyns and Kohl's

like the scarecrow from the wizard of oz. i'm dorothy, and i need one of my friends to be the scarecrow, but he doesn't want to buy it.

anyone know how to make one??

Have him wear an old flannel shirt and some corduroy pants and stuff them with straw/hay and wear a hat! That is about the closest I can think of without buying a costume.

He told me yesterday he would like to be a scarecrow, We won't take him door to door, but only to the church Halloween party. I am not very crafty, so if anyone has suggestions for a simple homemade scarecrow I would greatly appreciate it! Thank you so much!
sorry, I did forget to add that he is allergic and has asthma, so I can't use real hay. Thank you.

Blue jeans or bib overalls
Checkered shirt
Use tan colored straws and cut one end into strips to mimic the look of hay and duct tape to the inside of his jean legs and shirt sleeves

Pipe cleaners might work, too or heavy card-stock

Top him off with a cowboy hat and a bandanna around his neck.

Need some ideas please...
My 3 year-old is going to be a scarecrow, what should I have my 8 month-old daughter be? I'd like them to coincide with one another somehow.

pumpkins are okay, but as soon as I think of scarecrow I think Wizard of Oz so maybe she could be Dorothy?

There's also the tin man or cowardly lion!
