I need to make a Dorothy from the Wizard of Oz costume. Help! Please! Tips? Ideas? Suggestions?

(I'm 17, we're doing a group thing for halloween and everyone's going to be a Wizard of Oz character)

Just get some red ballet flats, at like Walmart or some store cheap. Then get a blue dress do your hair in pigtails. Maybe wear a white blouse under the blue dress.Then carry a basket with a little toy dog in it.

Target or walmart are the best and cheapest. it also depends on your shoe size

In case you were wondering, I'm being Dorothy, from the Wizard of Oz, for halloween && I really need the shoes!

go to payless and buy a pair of their dyeable shoes and buy some red dye and dye them. Then go get sequins or red glitter and fix that to your shoes after they dry. DIY stuff is sooo much more fun and it shows that you put personal effort into your costumes!

I am looking for a twisted Dorothy Costume. I have done research on the net and have not yet found one. I know I can piece one together but if someone has already created the costume I would rather just buy it complete.

I need 1 for a halloween gig. I dont want to but a complete dorothy outfit on the internet but i need some help finding a dress and shoes.

I have the shoes, bought them at Winners, not for Halloween just because I saw them and love The Wizard of Oz. I have seen similar shoes at lots of discount shoe places. Mine are red covered in sparkles but remember her shoes were really supposed to be silver so I guess if you found silver shoes that would work too. The dress is harder to find lots of stores sell the "slutty Dorothy" costume, which of course I hate, but it's up to you.
